Formed by Rapido Turismo, founder member of The Surf Creatures who enjoyed much airplay by John Peel and Mark Radcliffe, Aqua Vista cannot be typecast as purely a typical surf instrumental band. Experimenting and pushing the boundaries of their sound, they do not completely rule out using vocals in the future. However, touring extensively and attracting an army of followers, they are proving that instrumental music is a viable option. The band recorded a session for Radio 1 DJ John Peel in mid-2001 and received generous airplay from the nice Mr Peel afterwards.
